Spotlight Alumni Interview: Tomy Lorsch, Founder & CEO of ComplexChaos

I’m Tomy, Founder and CEO of ComplexChaos, a startup on a mission to help humanity cooperate at scale using AI to mediate multi-stakeholder alignment, governance, and decision-making. I previously scaled a company to 400 employees across 12 countries, which was acquired by Majorel in 2022 (now part of Teleperformance). My background includes deep experience in omnichannel customer experience management, growth, and technology strategy, with a passion for solving complex societal challenges.

The AI for Good Institute presented an incredible opportunity to collaborate with visionaries dedicated to addressing the world’s most pressing challenges through the responsible application of AI. I was particularly drawn to the institute’s emphasis on aligning technology with ethical frameworks, which resonates deeply with my mission at ComplexChaos.

I refined the concept for ComplexChaos while at the Institute. Our focus was on building a platform that combines AI, game theory, and stakeholder mapping to help diverse groups find shared solutions to complex challenges like climate change, corporate governance, and ESG compliance. The feedback and insights I received from the Institute’s ecosystem helped solidify the product vision and strategy.

After the program, I’ve continued to grow ComplexChaos, securing funding from Village Global and angel investors, including leaders from OpenGov, Google, and Mural. I’ve also participated in impactful conversations at conferences and forums, advocating for the role of AI in fostering global cooperation. These platforms have allowed me to showcase our work, build partnerships, and expand our vision.

Currently, I’m leading ComplexChaos toward its goal of becoming the go-to platform for aligning stakeholders on transformative projects. We’re working with enterprises and nonprofits to drive better ESG outcomes, automate complex negotiations, and improve decision-making processes. Looking ahead, I envision a future where AI empowers humanity to address its most critical challenges collaboratively, whether in climate action, equitable governance, or beyond. I want readers to know that the possibilities for cooperation at scale are limitless if we leverage the right tools—and ComplexChaos is here to make that vision a reality.
