AI for Good Institute 2025: Terms and Conditions
Below are the policies, terms, and conditions that every program participant agrees to before completing registration. By completing your registration, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below, designed to create a positive, collaborative, and rewarding experience for all participants. Please review them carefully.

1. Refund Policy

All fees are non-refundable without exception.

2. Code of Conduct
We are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment. All participants are expected to:

Uphold professionalism, courtesy, a collaborative team mindset, and respect for others.

Embrace the values of inclusion, diversity, integrity, and collaboration.

Follow the guidance of program leadership when discussing controversial or sensitive topics in class, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants.

Violation of this code may result in dismissal without refund.

3. Participation Requirements

Participants must be 18 years or older.
-
Registration must include submission of all required forms and agreements, including a Stanford University waiver.
4. Program Dates and Attendance
-
Online Sessions: June 9–21, 2025 (Part-time, 1–3 sessions per week; attendance is optional, and recordings will be available).
-
In-Person Sessions: June 22–29, 2025 (Full-time at Stanford University, attendance is required, no recordings available). Attend at least 80% of in-person sessions as a prerequisite to the graduation certificate.

5. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property

Proprietary materials and information shared during the program are the exclusive intellectual property of Impact Genius.

Participants may not distribute, reproduce, or share these materials anywhere, inside or outside the United States.

Unauthorized use or adaptation is prohibited and subject to strict copyright laws.
6. Media Release
-
By registering, Participant agrees that Impact Genius may record, edit, use, reproduce, publish, and distribute by way of any and all media and transmission the visual and/or audio likeness of Participant and other commentaries, information, and materials the Participant may provide in connection with the Program, which includes, without limitation, Participant’s name, biographical information, recorded voice, likeness, commentaries, presentation materials, and/or performance at the Program. Impact Genius is further granted permission to use such materials for educational, fund-raising, promotional, or other purposes worldwide and in perpetuity to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Team Collaboration and Project Work

The program is highly collaborative, and participants are expected to contribute positively to their teams and cohort.

Conflicts should be resolved with the guidance of program leadership.

Participants understand that not all submitted startup ideas will be selected, and they may work on different projects within their teams.
8. Stanford Affiliation Disclaimer
The AI for Good Institute is an independent program hosted at Stanford University by Impact Genius.

Participation does not confer the right to claim affiliation with Stanford University (e.g., “Studied at Stanford” or “Stanford alumnus”).
-
Certificates and credentials are issued solely by Impact Genius.

9. Safety and Health
-
Participants must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or disability accommodation needs.

In case of illness (e.g., COVID-19), participants may be required to isolate or defer attendance to a future cohort.
10. Feedback and Evaluation
-
Participants agree to provide constructive feedback through program surveys and evaluations.
-
Feedback will help improve the program and measure participant progress.
11. Venue Use and Personal Liability
-
Participants are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order at program venues, including Stanford residences and classrooms.

Any damages to Stanford property caused by participants will be their financial responsibility.
12. Meals, Housing, and Access Cards
When checking into Stanford, all participants receive dining-hall meal cards, and residential participants also receive university housing key cards.

Residential participants receive three meals daily, starting with dinner on check-in day and breakfast on check-out day.

Day program participants receive lunch, and any additional meals must be purchased for $35 per meal at Stanford’s dining halls.

Replacement of lost dining access cards incurs a $20 charge payable to Impact Genius before requesting a new card from the dining hall.

Replacement of lost Stanford apartment FOB keys must be requested EVGR personnel. Residential participants must return their FOB keys to EVGR personnel before check-out, or incur a $30 replacement fee.
13. Liability Waiver

As a participant, I understand that participation in the Impact Genius Program involves inherent risks, including but not limited to physical activity, transportation, and interaction with other participants. I hereby release, waive, and discharge Impact Genius, its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, and liabilities arising out of or in connection with my participation in the program. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Impact Genius from any claims, demands, damages, and liabilities, including attorney's fees, arising out of my actions or inactions while participating in the program. Participant understands that any property damage caused to any on-site program venue are the Participant’s responsibility and to reimburse Impact Genius for any charges incurred as a result. In the event of a medical emergency, the Participant consents to receive medical treatment deemed necessary by qualified personnel. Participant agrees to be responsible for any medical expenses incurred as a result.

In the case of international participants, travel insurance is required.
14. Program Modification and Cancellation

Impact Genius reserves the right to modify or cancel the program before or during its operation for any reason.
15. Intellectual Property of Ideas
-
Project ideas belong to their originators.
-
Post-program, idea generators may pursue their projects independently and manage team recruitment.
16. Termination Clause
Impact Genius reserves the right to dismiss any participant violating program terms or organizational policies without notice or the right to refund or compensation.​
17. Affiliations and Partnerships
Impact Genius is an independent education enterprise based in Silicon Valley. The AI for Good Institute is an independent professional education program that is set to be held at several locations, including fully online, as well as in various US and international locations. It is not an official Stanford university academic program. Certificates of completion and badges are issued by Impact Genius.

18. Safe, inclusive, engaging learning environment:
Impact Genius’ leadership team deeply believes in inclusive education. We strive to create inclusive, fun, and engaging learning environments where every participant can thrive. Our curriculum was designed by education experts who have taught students from all over the world, in over 12 countries. Our typical daily schedule includes a mix of hands-on workshops, games, classroom activities, outdoor activities, and lecture-style instruction. Our students learn by doing in an immersive, rewarding learning experience that empowers participants to reach their full potential, foster lasting relationships with their peers, and perform at their best.
19. Diversity at the core of our work:
Diversity lies at the core of our mission, and our work. Impact Genius (formerly United Ambassadors) has held international programs at the United Nations in New York and Geneva which welcomed students from ber 160+ countries of nationality and residence, between the ages of 12-28. Our leadership team members have come from over 40 countries. We celebrate diversity not only in the nationalities of our participants and staff but also, in their backgrounds, areas of interest, college majors, areas of study, and future career paths. It is the diversity of our participants that sets our programs apart.
20. Application Process:
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Upon acceptance, applicants will receive an email to complete registration. Candidates who complete the application process during the early registration window are eligible for a financial discount. Space is limited for our in-person programs, so we encourage interested candidates to apply as soon as possible.

Admissions Criteria:

21. Nondiscrimination Policy
Impact Genius shall admit all qualified students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or marital status who apply to our programs, both online or in-person, at any of our locations, including any rights, privileges, or activities afforded to admitted participants. Consistent with its obligations under the law, in all of its programs, Impact Genius prohibits unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, marital status or any other characteristic protected by applicable law; Impact Genius also prohibits unlawful harassment including sexual harassment and sexual violence. This policy applies to all programs and activities both online and in-person, as well as overseas programs.
22. International Students:
International students are most welcome to apply to our programs. Our programs are held in several locations worldwide, including the US, Dubai, and Geneva. For in-person programs, after completing the online application and registration process, international students will receive a formal letter of invitation to use to obtain a Visa from their local embassy to attend the program in the host country. Students are responsible for obtaining their visas using the formal program invitation letter.

23. Disability Accommodations:
At Impact Genius, we have an unwavering commitment to not only including, but empowering, supporting, and celebrating diverse learners. All admitted students may request accommodations required to fully participate in our program safely, and comfortably. Reasonable accommodations shall be provided upon request.
