Hi, I’m Shradha Cripe, founder of Beyond the Mind, the AI healthtech startup that I founded, developed and pitched during my time at the AI for Good Institute. Currently, I am actively developing the MVP for Beyond the Mind.

My journey with the AI for Good Institute has equipped me with the foundation necessary to pursue this venture. I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead to continue contributing to the AI for Good Institute's mission, which aligns seamlessly with my values and aspirations to drive positive change through innovative and impactful solutions.

I am deeply committed to advancing health technology and fostering collaborative partnerships that enable sustained growth and positive change. As such, I joined the AI for Good Institute to leverage my professional expertise in creating meaningful societal impact. I recognized that the Institute offers an ideal curriculum to address emerging opportunities in the next chapter of AI. Although I have participated in other programs that provided valuable context and education, I sought a program specifically dedicated to fostering societal benefits and exploring future possibilities.

The small cohort size really fostered close interactions with both the academic team and fellow participants. It allowed for high levels of engagement within a supportive community. I greatly appreciated the wide range of knowledge shared by the program’s speakers, including venture capitalists, experts in data ethics and integrity, domain-specific specialists, and professionals working within social enterprises. The community and curriculum broadened my perspective on the diverse applications of AI as well as the many considerations within finding the optimal business and funding model for our use cases.

These highlights significantly contributed to my personal vision and professional goals by expanding my horizons beyond the conventional Silicon Valley discourse and revealing new opportunities for collaboration and innovation. The program also enhanced my awareness of the extensive resources available while launching a business that achieves both revenue growth and societal benefit.

Being part of the cohort was instrumental in advancing Beyond the Mind. The program provided critical insights into various aspects of entrepreneurship, including understanding the trade-offs between different business models, exploring diverse financial strategies, and effectively addressing the needs of our target problem space and customer segments. Additionally, the collaborative environment and access to expert resources enabled our team to rapidly refine the project. This intensive period of learning and adaptation significantly propelled the development of Beyond the Mind, creating tremendous value in a short timeframe.

After completing the cohort, I had the privilege of speaking on the health tech panel at the AI LA Healthcare Conference. Additionally, I continued to collaborate with a business coach I connected with through the program, which enabled me to solidify the strategic decisions essential for establishing our business strategy and advancing to a new level of leadership.

The support and knowledge gained from the AI for Good Institute continues to encourage and highlight the value of contributing to a complex problem space!
